Have we mentioned how excited we are to play with Land Of Talk on Memorial Day? SO excited!

Marie Stella’s debut EP, TRUST, will be officially available on cd starting Saturday, January 12, with a release party at the new Bayside Bowl in Portland, Maine. Opening the show will be our friends (and fellow Dooryard practice space band) Dead Man’s Clothes and Brooklyn’s The Art Of Shooting. We’ll be warming up for the big show with an opening slot for Montreal’s Land Of Talk on Memorial Day, May 31, at SPACE Gallery!

TRUST was recorded with Ron Harrity at Forest City in South Portland, Maine, and features Derek Gierhan on drums and Katherine Hulit on backing vocals and synth (along with Sydney, Bryan, and Matt on everything else) That’s our friend (and early Marie Stella bandmember) Ahna on the cover. Get a preview of the EP by streaming it below or going here (where you can also download the mp3 of “Message From Limbo”).

Marie Stella live video (thanks to the wonderfully talented and sweet David Meiklejohn!) from our show at Port City Music Hall on February 9, 2010. Special guest drummer Derek Gierhan.

We recorded a song for the Earfarm.com holiday charity album, Do You Ear What I Ear, and have it online now for you to check out! Also on the album are Tom Tom Club, Asobi Seksu, Goes Cube, Sharon Van Etten, and more!
